What is your favorite place in Europe so far?: Switzerland

Where would you most like to go next?: Tuscany - when they build a rail system like Switzerland. And I love the grapes (crushed, bottled and aged!!!)

Do you have any special interests or hobbies that you follow when you travel?: Hike, walks, rock climbing and getting lost.

Which Untours have you already done?: Switzerland - Heartland and Oberland; Kuchl, Austria, Germany on the Rhine (Bacharach), Hapsburg tour

What advice would you give others considering an Untour?: Do it now!! I did my first Untour in Sarnen, Switzerland in 1985. Dress in layers and enjoy your railpasses instead of a car wherever possible!

What is your favorite Untour? (so far): Switzerland

Breakfast date for Aug. Aug 27, 2008!

Nothing like planning ahead is there! Thanks to my friends Jean and Fred Agneta whom I met through Untours in Switzerland in 2002, I won't be dining alone my first morning in Switzerland, Aug. 27 2008. We'll be enjoying breakfast together at the Hotel Allegra. I've stayed there many times but have never eaten breakfast there as I love to pick up a peppercini (sp?) sandwich at the station while waiting for all the Untourists to arrive. What Untours means to me

This is a first attempt for me at writing for all to see. Pretty scary and I'm sure it will sound like a 4th grade composition! Have to write though as I'm tired of seeing on the screen "you haven't written your blog yet"

Of course it's all about travel which has been a passion for me since I was little girl and was allowed to take the train alone several times from Bridgeport, CT to Stamford, CT. And I was only 8 years old! Years later there would be the Greyhound bus trip from MA to…

We recently completely our fourth Untour,and will never forget your help and kindness on our first trip to Switzerland as you gently guided us to the right trains, and shared so much of all you know about all things Swiss!!. We hope your home did not suffer any damage in the recent fires, and that Paradise is recovering.

We worked as Wound, Ostomy, Continence nurses - she was my boss. Leslie has had a place in Paradise for at least 20 yrs. I think she was planning to retire there. She is probably around 60.
