Where would you most like to go next?: Prague, and back to Lucca and London. We are getting a little old for travel however and don't want to drive over there any more. Although we have driven all over Europe many times, I would rather figure out a trip that will give me access to trains and public transportation. Any ideas for an Untour for an old fart and his wife?

Tell us about one of your favorite places to stay on an Untour. A favorite host? Apartment? Village?: Unfortunately and sadly, we have never been on an Untour. Our many travels to Europe have been independent and with the help of Rick Steves have been great successes. But we are looking forward to an Untour in the near future, if our health holds out.

Do you have any special interests or hobbies that you follow when you travel?: I love old architecture. But other than that I guess we just look around at as much as we can. We have not purchased a digital camera yet so that might be the next item of interest for our next trip. Then we can upload our pics to the cafe.

What is the funniest thing that happened to you on an Untour?: Wish I had one...soon maybe

I believe if you can still log into the old account (you just have to remember the email address you used and the password), then you can follow the directions here. Let me know of course if you need any help with that.

As for email addresses, you will have to ask that person directly if it's just someone on the Untours Cafe. Probably by private message, as it's better to keep your email address so that it's not visible (and can't be stolen by spammers).

Frank and I are happy Untourists. This year's trip will be our 6th. There are lots of Untours just made for you where you don't have to drive and have lots of architecture to admire as well as beautiful scenery. Let's start with Swiss Oberland or Swiss Heartland. Great transportation by bus, train, car and boat. No car needed. Then in Italy, you could check out the new Florence Untour or perhaps the Rome Untour with metro pass. In France, there is the wonderful Paris Untour with metro/train pass. Austria offer both Salzburg and Vienna with train passes. So okay, there are more to choose from but these are the ones I know the most about. Check out the Destinations links above. Hope you find an Untour for you. Go do it while you can!!!

We love to be of help so don’t hesitate to ask us (either via email or on the forum) if you have trouble with anything. There are plenty of really friendly people who will be glad to lend a hand! We're still trying to figure out how to serve you some coffee or tea through the computer screen, but in the meantime, have fun!

They're pretty amazing and pretty much give you all the independence of travel that you seem to enjoy. Switzerland ranks way up there if you're ready to forego the driving. We've done all of the Swiss Untours and have some trip logs posted if you'd like to check them out on my page. I like Rick Steves too and his books accompany us on most all our trips - we definitely share his philosophy of travel. Our next Untour is to Prague in June - so if you have any questions on that one after that, I'd be delighted to give you my input! A digital camera a few years ago was one of my best ever purchases - hope you get one soon! Would love to see pictures from wherever you choose to explore next...just keep traveling!
