A History of Chianti

Told through the perspective of one of Tuscany's most important winegrowers, this series of small clips weaves a story about the evolution of the wine, and the winemaker's place in defining the wine.

Paolo De Marchi of Isole e Olena spent much of his childhood in the large estate his family purchased in the early 50s (when land was cheap in Tuscany). After graduating from oenology school in the mid 70s, we went on to become a driving force in the re-invention of Chianti and its wine.
