Welcome to the Untours Cafe! I hope you'll enjoy hanging out here as much as I do. Sit back, relax, and take a few moments to look at some of the amazing photos and videos people are uploading. Or check out some of the really interesting discussions in both the forum and our destination pages.
If you are looking for some content in particular the Search box in the upper right, and the “Help” tab are good ways to get started. We love to be of help so don’t hesitate to ask us (either via email or on the forum) if you have trouble with anything. There are plenty of really friendly people who will be glad to lend a hand! We're still trying to figure out how to serve you some coffee or tea through the computer screen, but in the meantime, have fun!

We do have an article in our "help" section about how to write a tripblog. Perhaps that's what you're looking for. Let me know if I can be of any more assistance. We've also got several people who have gotten really good at writing their tripblogs. Jean Agneta is one, if you want to look at her write-ups.

- What is your favorite place in Europe so far?

- Tell us about one of your favorite places to stay on an Untour. Do you have a favorite host? Apartment? Village?
- Alsace( the chalet in the vineyard), Pernes de Fountain, The little lady who was Spanish and mixed her French with Spanish was charming. Paris, Rue St Dominique and Gracieuse, the apartment was outstanding.
- Do you have any special interests or hobbies that you follow when you travel?
- Meeting the people of that area and enjoying their culture and food. Photography
- What is the funniest thing that happened to you on an Untour?
- The owner of the Mouff-Tot Moufftard restaurant, knowing we were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary invited us for cocktail on Sunday for cocktails. The restaurant was packed with neighbors , They had brought their accordions;guitars: mandolins and a flute. Music; singing and dancing was endless. Our Champagne and kir royal flowed throughout the afternoon. The owner said that this was a weekly event. We were sorry that we we not staying longer for Sunday get together with those warm friendly people.
- Which Untours have you already done?
- See above under friendly places . They all have been different but great.
- What advice would you give others considering an Untour?
- I lecture at the senior centers here in Maryland and I try to impress them with the Fact that they are Ambassadors of the USA . There are two points I try to leave with them are; "Manners before money" and dress properly. These two things over come
all obstacles. It works for us and week have been all over Europe and the middle east, for the last 50 years (taking one trip per year) and never had a problem.

- They all have been fantactic , Each seems to be better than the last
