- Tell us about one of your favorite places to stay on an Untour. Do you have a favorite host? Apartment? Village?
- Best apartment - Poggio alla Rose, Buonconvento (Tuscany). unbelievably idyllic.
- Do you have any special interests or hobbies that you follow when you travel?
- We like art and architecture, music, hiking/nature -- and just plain enjoying travel
- What is the funniest thing that happened to you on an Untour?
- We came back to our Tuscany apartment (Poggio alla Rose) one night to encounter a large number of hulking beasts looming in the darkness which proved to be a large herd of cows that had escaped from a nearby field. We had to gingerly proceed up the driveway, trying to avoid these creatures who did not at all want to move from their places where they were munching on the shrubbery and grass. We had to carefully wend our way through the pack to get to the door. All night long there were crunching and banging sounds outside the windows. The next morning the yard and garden was in a shambles and the lawn furniture was toppled over. The herder showed up to move the cows back to their field. Now that was "living with the locals" as Untours stives to do! (The wonderful host gave us a delicius Panforte cake the next day as a reward for our tribulations).

Great story about the cows! Welcome to the Untours Cafe! I hope you'll enjoy hanging out here as much as I do.
