- My first and (so far) only Untour was my 6th trip to Europe, and one of the easiest. Be thankful how well taken care you will be on arrival, which is appreciated especially if coming from the west coast and a 9 hour time change. Make a point of learning the common words of exchange, be friendly to shop keepers, and don't be afraid to use signs, pictures, or a camera to make your needs or desires known.
Europeans in Yellowstone
Hello Untours Cafe friends.....
Just returned from my camping trip to Wyoming's national parks....Yellowstone and Grand Tetons... with my grandson. I know it's not Europe, but the mountains are spectacular, and I am definitely a lover of the high mountains! Would like to add a photo of Alec "on the trail." Alec is 13 and he and I are travel partners. In the Wyoming parks you hear a variety of European languages every day, as they are enjoying some of the most best natural scenery of our country. Many of the summer employees are also from around the world. If you look at my special interests, we hiked, photographed (hardly ever got the camera out of Alec's hands), and went to several concerts at the Teton Music Festival.
The cafe certainly grew during my month away. Love all the photos. Ann

Ticino - Art, Wine and Music

I woke up early and went out about 7:30, hoping to get a few staples like soap and toothpaste. I discovered that the stores don’t open until 8:30 or 9:00. I did find a local meat market open and purchased cheese and meat for breakfast. Typical of this city, the proprietor knew only a few English words, but showed me a picture of a stylized deer to let me know this was venison sausage.

Thanks so much for coming to the Cafe! since you like to photograph, and we are about to ask people to start uploading photos, I was curious...do you use a photo website for your pictures, or just store them on your computer? We are looking for photographers to help with people who are new to digital photography as we invite more people into the cafe, so I am kind of canvassing where our "early experts" might be on a continuum from traditional to cutting edge techies.
Glad that you found us over at the Greece group / destination! You might want to post your question in the forum on the Greece destination page, that way people will be able to respond (and Untours Cafe should automatically notify you when they do).
I am not sure which question was for me....and not sure I know the answer anyway! Are you asking about a device to download to your computer ( I think your camera should provide you with a firewire or other cable that plugs into your computer....) hope this helps! Marilee
