We had seriously considered a sampler this year of Barcelona and Madrid and then much to our disappointment Madrid was not available. Will it be available next year (2009)?

Dodge and I, from the Untours Spain/French team, set up the Barcelona Untour. I am in love with the city. It really has everything from beaches to gothic alleyways and architecture to large boulevards in the Eixample district. The parks are great and the food is amazing. Last time I went for work, I stayed in the Harbour Palace apartment. The location of those apartments is great with their proximity to the old harbour and to the El Born neighborhood. Rachel, our on site staff person in Barcelona, is already getting rave reviews. I'd be happy to share any restaurant suggestions and/or pictures with anyone who expresses interest!

I have never participated in an Untour, although I have received catalogs for a while. Next summer, however, we are planning a trip through the northern part of Spain to visit friends as well as sight see. As we also have friends who live in Barcelona, I was thinking that an Untour there might be a good way to spend time with them without imposing on their hospitality and interfering too much in their busy lives. I haven't looked at the Untours site yet - but saw Phillip's comments and thought I would see what he has to say (or anyone else) about my idea.

We (Janet Hamilton and I) returned May 7 from the Barcelona-Paris Sampler. Barcelona was wonderful! We were intrigued by the architecture of Gaudi. We walked everywhere (didn't use up our Metro tickets). We also took a day-trip to Montserrat.

We just returned from 5-weeks in Europe including the Barcelona-Paris Untours Sampler, and would love to share our experiences with any others who may be considering this choice. Both cities offer a wonderous array of sights and culture.
