Swiss Ticino Untour
This will be our first Untour. We have booked September for two weeks. However, we are taking a Viking Cruise the previous week from Avignon to Lyon. We then plan to travel (how???) to Normandy and THEN get to our Untour on September 8 in Lucarno.
We are hoping that someone out there has been to the Swiss Ticini or France or both and can help us with traveling from one place to the other.
We are so looking forward to our trip even though it is not until 2010!

Dear Deanna,
I have travelled in Switzerland extensively and just a little in France. If you have a time constraint, I would go by train. It is very enjoyable and convenient. If there is no time constraint, I would rent a car and drop it off in Switzerland. There is a drop-off fee however. If you are going to drive, I will help you with the routing and give you my incite. Let me know and if you do want help, tell me a little about yourself, as far as what you would like to see, and what kind of driving you want to experience.
It sounds like you have a really great vacation planned. Good for you! When you return, I would love to hear all about it.

Thank you so much - - - we are so looking forward to this trip. We'v traveled many places and look forward to returning to Switzerlad and France. Colorado is such a beutiful place. We have visited there and love it!

Hi Sue,
We are still working on details (flights, etc). As of yesterday we think we're going to take the train to Normandy after our Vicking cruise as that would save time. Hopefully, we'll then be able to schedule a train to Switzerland to arrive in time for our two week untour - timing, timing, timing! Of the two weeks in Switzerland, we are going to try and get to a coupe of places in Northern Italy. But, we hope to see all of Swtizerland
We have maps of both countires and were pouring over them yesterday and the day before.
We are in Arizona now; have a summer place in Northern Michigan. We love small towns, getting with the locals and enjoying the history of the country/city/town. While in the states we love to golf, hike (a bit), go to plays, read, walk and of course, socialize.
